The old Western Power offices in Locking Rd were converted to a new 1403m2 3 storey Health Centre for Weston's New Court Surgery and Longton Grove Surgeries.

The original building was stripped back to the frame and reclad to improve the thermal envelope to modern u values. New M & E services were installed throughout and floor screeds removed to permit the use of under floor heating systems.

North Somerset Councils Planning Permission required 15% of the regulated energy to be provided from renewable energy sources.  To achieve this, we undertook SBEM calculations to calculate the amounts and provided 40m2 Photo-Voltaic arrays to generate power, and 16m2 Solar Thermal Panels to generate hot water.

The building comprises consulting rooms, treatment and minor ops rooms, community health facilities, admin offices, training room's comms room and a separate retail pharmacy.

Roof lights are installed on the top floor to introduce natural lighting into the centre of the building. Natural ventilation is provided into the central areas of the building via ducted systems with actuators controlled from the BMS.
