The project involved the removal of existing temporary accommodation and the construction of a new two storey building with 10 general teaching classrooms, pupil and staff wc's and admin accommodation.
Following completion of the first phase in 2013, we were commissioned for the second phase of the building comprising a 6th form Learning Resource Centre with IT workstations, 4 additional classrooms and admin space
To deal with ventilation and overheating to the classrooms, mixed mode ventilation is provided with openable windows and inverter controlled mechanical supply and extract systems operated on CO2 sensors to ensure ventilation in accordance with schools guidance document Building Bulletin 101.
The sixth form uses natural ventilation with powered roof lights, and mixed mode natural ventilation with inverter controlled fan assisted supply and extract on CO2 control to the classrooms.
Lighting is controlled via switches and absence detection.
